Trevor, clinic director at East Toronto Orthopaedic, Danforth, is a dedicated physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy, is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, and is certified in acupuncture and Integrated Dry Needling. Using a comprehensive approach, Trevor helps patients achieve functional goals with expertise in various orthopaedic and sports injuries.
With over three decades of clinical experience in private practice, Danny, a registered physiotherapist, specializes in addressing a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders and sports-related injuries. Graduating in 1987 from the University of Toronto, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and an Honours Bachelor of Physical Education from Lakehead University. Serving as a leader at East Toronto Orthopaedic Clinic, Danny oversees therapy teams and brings expertise in joint mobilization, manipulation, soft-tissue mobilization, exercise therapy, acupuncture, and patient education.
Dr. David Lowe, a University of Toronto graduate, completed his medical training in 1988 and was the first to finish the Sport Medicine Fellowship at the university. With over ten years as the Team Physician at Ryerson University and eight years at the University of Toronto’s Sport Medicine Clinic, he has extensive experience with recreational, amateur, elite, and professional athletes. Dr. Lowe, specializing in sport and activity-related injuries, is available for consultations by physician referral, and serves as the local physician for Cirque du Soleil when in Toronto.
Joining East Toronto Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic in 2004, Mia, a University of Toronto graduate with over 35 years of physiotherapy experience, specializes in manual and exercise therapy. Certified in acupuncture, GLA:D™, and Bonefit™, she teaches healthcare professionals about the GLA:D™ program and focuses on multifaceted treatment, including education, home exercises, and manual therapy. Mia has a special interest in osteoarthritis management and enjoys various outdoor activities outside of work.
With 15+ years of experience, Sarah, a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, specializes in treating concussion, vestibular disorders, and running injuries. Achieving Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, she uses a mind-body approach with manual therapy, exercises, acupuncture, and education to help patients. Sarah has a keen interest in foot and ankle problems, orthotics, and preventing running injuries.
Melissa, a Queen’s University graduate, holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Achieving Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, she specializes in orthopaedic conditions and has advanced training in manual therapy, acupuncture, and dry needling. With a focus on Women’s Health and Seniors Health, Melissa employs a holistic approach using manual therapy, acupuncture, exercise therapy, and education for patient recovery.
Stephanie, a Queen’s University Master’s graduate in Physical Therapy, brings expertise from a busy orthopaedic clinic, specializing in acute and chronic injuries. With additional training in soft-tissue release, acupuncture, aquatic therapy, and ongoing pursuit of advanced orthopaedic manual therapy, Stephanie empowers clients in their rehabilitation journey through education, personalized exercises, and manual therapy techniques.
Steven, a Queen’s University Master’s graduate in Physical Therapy, is dedicated to orthopaedic physiotherapy, holding certifications in acupuncture and dry needling. Brent, a New Zealand-born Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy, brings extensive experience in Elite Sport, including professional rugby in England. Adam, a 2015 graduate from the University of Toronto with a Life Sciences degree, furthered his healthcare journey by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in 2021.
